We will start the meeting with our AGM that includes a brief update on the standing of the POC Halton-Peel Chapter and followed by a forty-five-minute Chair Yoga class guided by Lindsey Koster of Yogashala Wellness Centre, Waterdown. After nourishing and caring for our hard-working bodies, we’ll continue the fun!

Did we mention there will be prizes? Throughout the night we will be celebrating with prizes of e-gift cards, as well as one GRAND PRIZE draw at the end of the evening for anyone who attends the event!

About Lindsey Koster

Lindsey Koster

Lindsey’s love for yoga flourished when she was faced with some challenging times in her life. She was busy working as a teacher, being a mom and wife at home but the kicker came when she was faced with how best to support her aging parents struggling to cope with dementia. Balancing life was difficult, and yoga provided the reminder to take time for herself, breath fully and focus on the moment. Not an easy task when feeling pulled in many different and important directions.

Walking into a yoga studio and finding that movement, stillness, and peace on her mat was just what she needed, and it has continued to be a daily practice. In the fall of 2019, Lindsey decided to take her 23 years’ experience of teaching children to learning how to become a yoga instructor. She completed her 200-hour RYT training just in time for Covid to shut down studios. She didn’t want to lose all she had just learned. So, Lindsey started offering her own classes through zoom to family, friends, and fellow teachers for free.

She loves teaching vinyasa flow classes with lots of stretching, core work and strengthening poses. She also loves to teach children yoga through stories. Chair yoga is also within her practice.

Balancing on one foot is always her challenge but a headstand is a favourite. She loves to be challenged but also realizes the importance to slow down and take time for those deep stretches. Her mantra…. Never stop learning because life never stops teaching. Follow your heart.

We look forward to “seeing” you there!
