What is a Community Group at POC?

A Community Group at POC is a member-led space designed to foster connection, collaboration, and share knowledge among professional organizers. These groups bring together members with shared interests, whether based on location, specialty areas, or industry focus, providing a supportive network to exchange ideas, share expertise, and grow together.

Corporate partners are welcome to attend POC community group meetings at no charge. Corporate partners may also attend community group special events to promote their business directly to members.

Why Join a Community Group?

Build Connections – Network with like-minded organizers in your area or field of interest.
Share Knowledge – Learn from others, exchange insights, and stay up to date on industry trends.
Find Support – Get guidance and encouragement from peers who understand your challenges and successes.
Grow Your Business – Collaborate, get referrals, and discover new opportunities.

Community Groups may meet virtually or in person and can focus on general networking, specialized topics (such as virtual organizing or business productivity), or local industry trends and practices. Whether you’re looking to learn, lead, or simply connect, there’s a place for you in a POC Community Group!

Not a Member of POC yet?

Not a member of POC yet? Guests are welcome at community group meetings (unless restrictions apply). Guests may attend their first POC community meeting for free, unless the meeting is a paid POC event. In this case, the guest must pay the same event fee as POC members. Guests are allowed to attend only one meeting before being required to join POC to continue to attend. Members of NAPO, ICD, or other professional organizing associations may attend POC meetings without paying a guest fee.
