Cyber Chapter Meeting
As a leader, team member, solo or entrepreneur, author, or session leader at events, do you want to be remembered, rehired, and referred? Have you honed your storytelling skills by doing ‘the work’ that comes with practice?
Good storytelling is relatively easy. GREAT storytelling, that is influential, memorable, and gets one rehired and referred, is a “platform skill” (whether to an audience of 1 to whom you are trying to “sell” or to a larger audience in a team or conference setting) that needs to be both honed and practiced. It is an art that guarantees your clients will remember, rehire, and refer you!
Smart professionals and thought leaders realize numbers, statistics, charts and graphs provide details helping them ‘keep score’; they don’t move people. It’s the stories behind the numbers that enhance your influence and allow your clients to remember and repeat.
During this session, Susan will discuss the importance of using stories and storytelling with your clients, colleagues, or suppliers, as well as how to help them identify and share their own stories. Using examples from organizations, on multiple continents, that have implemented storytelling, will provide insight into how you can help your clients communicate their needs/wants more effectively, enhance their decision making, and achieve greater buy-in and commitment from employees and customers alike.
Whether you’re are a solopreneur, work with a team, author, or provide information sessions at various events, the ‘platform skill’ of GREAT storytelling will assist you in moving to the next level of your career. This session will demonstrate how you can define and share your stories to help your audiences ‘get it’, and get you rehired and referred!
