Networking & Introductions
While we call this “Networking and Introductions” what it really means is a highly enjoyable opportunity to meet our warm and friendly group. Our organizer colleagues are the best – nice people committed to the highest standards of excellence. They love to share ideas, and give each other tips that can help grow your business.
Each month we boast an informative speaker who shares their area of expertise. Throughout the year, we cover a wide range of topics that can improve the way we do business, broaden our industry knowledge, increase our client base and have a positive effect on who we are as people. You’ll always come away with something new.
We’ll keep you up to date on POC news and how the Durham Chapter is involved. Get regular reports on what we are doing to increase the profile of local Durham region professional organizers. As well, we offer details on what you can expect from the next meeting.
Have a new service or solution that might help your fellow colleagues? Discovered a great new resource? Want to share some good news? Use this opportunity to offer tips or launch a new product.

Chapter Meeting Details
We meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month, from September to June. Our meetings are generally held at Whitby Central Library, 405 Dundas Street West, Whitby, ON L1N 6A1 (map below), with the exception of Socials, PD Days and so forth. If you are a guest, please email [email protected] for monthly details; members will receive ongoing POC Talk email correspondence with relevant information. Meetings are free for POC members; guests are asked to pay a small fee of $20 at the associated meeting. Post meeting, we invite you to join us for informal networking at a nearby venue.

Any chapter that wishes to meet virtually for continuation of chapter business, including elections, workshops or just to network, are welcome to use the POC Zoom account at no charge. Considering the ongoing developments resulting from the coronavirus, our Trained Professional Organizer exam set to take place at the chapter level must be canceled.
We know how hard many of you have been working to successfully complete the necessary courses to be eligible to take the exam and how disappointed you may feel. Rest assured that our objective is to safeguard the health of our organizing community and we will reschedule the exam when possible.
